Why You Should Still Celebrate the 4th of July, Even if You’re Disenchanted With the U.S. Government

This is not an article that will gush about how great the United States is and why you should be ashamed for not celebrating the 4th of July. I’m well aware that there are many who believe the U.S.A is anything but great, especially at the present moment. However, over the last week I’ve been privy to certain conversations that bash on the U.S. and just about everything related to it, and I’ve felt a bit of a sting in my heart. Not because I approve of everything that’s been happening, but because of the good things that are being forgotten or ignored.
